This week's post is going to be a little bit different from the previous ones as I've decided to write down my thoughts about teaching. This is because this week we've seen a lot of information concerning teachers, teaching and even the exam for Public Service that really made me think about my future and the teacher I want to be.

When I started reading the DigCompEdu, I though about how could I apply it to my lessons or even I would like to include all of them. In my view, teachers should be aware of the technologies that are available for them as well as knowing how to use them properly in their subjects. I would really like to use the DigCompEdu as long as I reach the C2 level that is required in each discipline. Indeed, I will try to keep training myself with technologies. Nonetheless, it is important to have in mind that technologies can be a double-edged sword so we, as teachers, should educate our students to use them properly.

Furthermore, when in Didáctica we learnt about the exam for Public Service I felt kind of motivated and overwhelmed at the same time. I would really like to work in a Public school and being a public worker but I think that the evaluation of the exam is not balanced. Why the most boring part of the exam –the theoretical one with 69 topics– is only a 30% of the first part? It is true that in the past years the conditions were even worse with only two options to choose between in that part but I think that is very discouraging. I have to admit that I don't like exams at all because everyone has a bad day and being anxious could play a dirty trick on your future and it's not fair.

All in all (and before I get angry about evaluation systems that I don't like), I think that I will try to use DigCompEdu in my future as a teacher. Moreover, I will try to pass the exam for Public Service but trying to stay calm during the process and most important, during the exam per se.
